Insurance costs rise for typical American family
The 2015 Milliman Medical Index study shows that the annual cost of benefits through an employer-sponsored preferred organization (PPO) plan rose 6.3 percent to $24,671 in 2015.
Other highlights include:

  • A Senate bill in Connecticut would give the Health Care Cabinet new powers, such as setting annual health care cost growth benchmark.
  • A bill designed to protect health insurance subsidies advances to Maine’s full legislature.
  • A bill approved in Missouri would require coverage of medically necessary services for treatment of eating disorders.
